St. Louis County SAVE is a 501c(3) non-profit that supports the St. Louis County Pet Adoption Center. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for animals in St. Louis County and lower the euthanasia rate to as close to zero as possible.
What We Do
SAVE is 100% volunteer driven, which means all money raised by SAVE goes directly to help the animals. We dedicate hundreds of hours each month to care for animals at the St. Louis County Pet Adoption Center.
Adoption & Foster Support
We promote adoptable animals through social media by writing their bios, taking their photos, and creating videos to help them get adopted or placed into foster homes.
Life-Saving Advocacy
We work daily to get dogs and cats out of the shelter and into loving homes before their time runs out. We raise money for urgent medical cases, adoption sponsorships, and make pleas for needed supplies like beds, treats, and leashes.
Spay & Neuter Sponsorships
We fund community programs that reduce overpopulation and give pets in St. Louis County the chance at healthier, safer lives.
Medical & Behavioral Help
We support shelter animals with enrichment, playgroups, and training guidance to give them the best chance at success outside the shelter, as well as assistance for medical appointments and needs.
