What We're Here to Do
Since 2015, our volunteers have been on the ground — funding heartworm treatments, donating supplies, and holding decision-makers accountable for animals in St. Louis County.
Animal Welfare First
We push for animals and community safety to be the top priority in every shelter decision.
Shelter Advocacy
We show up at meetings, ask hard questions, and make sure shelter animals aren't forgotten.
Community Awareness
We post urgent animals daily, share lost pets, and keep St. Louis County informed about what's happening at the shelter.
Policy Education
We bring shelter realities to the people who write the rules — and push for policies that actually protect animals.
Animals That Need You Now
The St. Louis County shelter is full. Every day, animals run out of time. A share, a foster, or an adoption can change everything.

Foster & Save a Life
A foster home gets an animal out of the shelter and into a safe place. Even a week or two can be the thing that saves them.

How You Can Help
You don't need to adopt to help. Pick whatever fits your life — it all matters.
Donate
We have zero paid staff, so your entire donation goes to animals — heartworm treatment, vet bills, beds, and supplies.
Volunteer
We’re always looking for people who want to help — at events, on social media, or behind the scenes.
Foster
Even a few weeks in a foster home can save an animal’s life. You pick the animal and the timeframe.
Where Your Money Actually Goes
Nobody at SAVE gets a paycheck. Your donation goes to heartworm treatment, emergency vet bills, beds, and shelter supplies — nothing else.
